Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter Book #3)

1.  I'm quite excited to re-read this one. It's meant to be the least relevant to the overall series plot but people's choice for best book (kind of like Rowan and the Keeper of the Crystal)
2. I think there's a certain charm and relatability in seeing Harry open all his presents on his birthday. He may be in a rotten situation - unloved by remaining family - but he's well loved by his friends. The letters from Ron, Hermione and Hagrid were sweet to read in that regard
3. Home is where the heart is basically, not necessarily where you physically are
4. How big is the loose floorboard keeping Harry's presents and homework!
5. Harry thinking he's an outlaw for using magic
6. Invisible Book of invisibility 😅🤣.. cost a fortune and we never found them
7. Are you planning to eat or sleep at all this year, Hermione?
8. "Second head boy in the family!" ..."And last" Fred muttered..
9. It's pretty clear Fred and George don't have plans to follow the conventional route of pleasing their parents
10. "Everyone except Percy and Mrs Weasley snorted into their putting" 🤣🤣 that includes Mr Weasley, Ginny, Hermiome?? 🤣
11. "Well he should have some chocolate..." Harry: "I've already had some..Professor Lupin gave me some. He gave it to all of us." Madam Pomfrey: "Did he, now..So we've finally got a Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher who knows his remedies."😆

14. Dumbledore announces the new teaching position: "I am delighted to say that his place will be filled by none other than Rubeus Hagrid." Hagrid was wiping his eyes on the tablecloth. It was a delicious feast...Harry, Ron and Hermione, however, were eager for it to finish so they could talk to Hagrid. They knew how much being made a teacher would mean to him..."Congratulations Hagrid!" Hermione squealed. Hagrid: "...it's what I always wanted"
15. Hermione having three 9am classes and Ron thinking her timetable is messed up
16. "Wonder what he's been getting ready?" Ron nervous about Hagrid's prep for class
17. Hermione startled at the news that books wouldn't be much help in this subject 😅🤣
18. Hermione not impressed by Trelawney and thinks divination class was absolute rubbish compared to arithmancy which she time travelled to
19. Ron claiming Hermione can't stand being rubbish at a subject for once 
20. Hagrid's outburst "I'm not worth that!"
21. "Five points from Gryffindor. I told you not to help him, Miss Granger." 😅
22. No one had ever had a practical lesson in Defence Against the Dark Arts 😅
23. Lupin commanding respect and his Boggart lesson super interesting and practical. A compassionate teacher. 
24. Neville's worst fear is Professor Snape 😅
25. Snape brewing a potion for Lupin - friendly act? "Not at all"
26. "You asked us a question and she knows the answer! Why ask if you don't want to be told?" Ron on Snape bullying Hermione
27. Hermione was beaming - Impervious!
28. Hermione asks if Harry will give the Marauder's Map to McGonagall 😆
29. Mobiliarbus- Hermione is a great friend to have
30. References to Lupin's werewolfism, silvery orb, and Peter Pettigrew as Crookshanks
31. Page 168 "examing" the Firebolt broomstick, typo
32. Hermione doing the right thing and playing it safe - telling McGonagall about the broomstick to,  in her mind, potentially save Harry's life
33. Trelawny keeps pestering Harry about via death and short life
34. How come a boggart was able to drain Harry's happiness as a fake dementor when it wasn't actually a dementor - or does it inherit the powers of the thing it is transforming into
35. I'm not buying anything Malfoy thinks is good."
36. Lupin suspicious of Harry knowing what butterbeer is
37. Seriously..And Potter - do try and win, won't you? Or we'll be out of the running for the 8th year in a row,  as Professor Snape was kind enough to remind me only last night"
38. Cho Chang first mentioned as Ravenclaw seeker
39. Harry shouting expecto patronum while catching the snitch and everyone going berserk
40. McGonagall after Sirius Black entered the Gryffindor dormitory: "Which person, which abysmally foolish person wrote down this week's passwords and left them lying around?" (Neville slowly raises his hand)😆
41. Security trolls to protect the Fat Lady
42. Neville was in total disgrace and McGonagall banned him from receiving any passwords
43. Hermione is the ultimate "I'm dobbing on you" person
44. The Quidditch Final chapter 15 is the best chapter as many things happen: Hermione and Ron reconcile; McGonagall ignores the biased commentary from Lee Jordan for once and waves her fist at Malfoy for grabbing Harry's broom to stop him from catching the snitch and cries tears of joy when Gryffindor win after a long drought; Lee Jordan being completely biased "Widely acknowledged as the best side Hogwarts has seen in a good few years" "Slytherin.. seems to be going for size rather than skill"; a scruffy game of penalties; Hermione's outpouring of emotion "Oh, Ron!".."you'd better beat him in the Quidditch final.. because I can't stand it if Slytherin win!"; Ron scared of Hermione's outpouring; Hermione quitting divination and slapping Malfoy for calling Hagrid pathetic; even Hermione not able to study the night before the final!
45. Hermione's worst fear is McGonagall telling her she failed all her exams😂
46. Hermione looked rather flattered at being complimented by Ron for being more daring eg hitting Malfoy
47. I like how Rowling brings together the Marauder's Map, Lupin's werewolfism, Scabbers and Peter Pettigrew, Sirius Black, Whomping Willow and Shrieking Shack myths in one fell swoop
48. Tense moments as an innocent man is shot to be executed 
49. "What we need...is more time." Dumbledore's eyes moved from Harry to Hermione
50. "If all goes well, you will be able to save more than one innocent life tonight. "
51. Hermione's eyes became very round: "OH!"
52. "How extraordinary" said Dumbledore with a note of amusement in his voice
53. Dumbledore already knew what the plan was when he said 3 turns / hours of the Time-Turner will do!
54. "How can I ever thank-" "GO!"
55. "Well?" Dumbledore said quietly
56. "OUT WITH IT POTTER! WHAT DID YOU DO? THEY HELPED HIM ESCAPE, I KNOW IT!"
57. "You're the best Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher we've ever had! Don't go!"
58. Trelawney made 2 predictions and that's worthy of a pay rise
59. "But trust me... the time may come when you will be very glad you saved Pettigrew's life"
60. It took a moment for harry to realise what Dumbledore said. 
61. Snape itching to place fingers around Harry's throat
62. This was pretty good and better than books 1 and 2. Time travel is so satisfying and Rowling tied everything together nicely: 4.75/5.
