- Gets interesting from chapter 5 onwards
- Will "had met her as Evanlyn and shared so many dangers and adventures with her under that name that she would always be Evanlyn in his mind"
- "He knew Alyss wouldn't like it, but he had a genuine affection for Evanlyn and he wasn't going to pretend otherwise. He and Evanlyn had gone through too much together for him not to greet her that way...he was wise enough to make the hug a brief one. "
- "It took a lot more courage for you to offer that than it took me... when I get home, I'll be letting people know about it." Horace to George
- "She wished there was some way she could break down the barrier between them. Maybe this journey might give her the opportunity."
- Halt and co avoiding an ambush while on the water and Horace planning a counter in the village
- "There's nothing wrong. He's planning something"
- Evanlyn and Alyss looking for reinforcements with a great plan and justification - Will and Horace and Halt worried but Selethen not worried
- "I'll worry about you."
- Finally, a map of the final battle. Took you long enough Flanagan.
- Alyss smiling despite scolding Will for the bad proposal.
- Didn't quite understand the hedgehog and dart weapons but this was an exciting book.
- Shigeru being a noble and humble leader is a great aspect to the story - but the final battle ended a bit too abruptly for my liking.
- Overall very interesting but maybe a 4.2-4.4/5
This used to be a site dedicated to Board, Card and Party Game reviews but, in the end, I realised that there are plenty of other things to talk about =)
